I had a fab consultation with a new client a few weeks ago. She had been given money for her 30th birthday and wanted to treat herself to an original artwork as a gift. I love this idea…art is personal and forever – who needs another handbag or bottle of plonk!
My client had a variety of ideas for her artwork. I adore open starting points like this. After I had a play around with a few design ideas on Photo Shop, my client selected a swimming turtle with the flowers symbolic of her birthday month sat in the foreground. This adds a quirky, surreal aspect to the work.
Many clients often have lots of ideas but don’t know exactly what they want. This is why the consultation period is so essential. With simple words and from basic descriptions, as well as working from your own photographs, I can help you visualise the artwork you really want. It is one of my favourite aspects of being an artist.
