Can’t believe it’s the 15th December! I’ve been steadily completing pet commissions for Christmas presents…two more to go (actually one is a human portrait!). I’ve put my Etsy shop (LindaRodgersArt) on holiday mode now as the Post Office are struggling with high demand and have delays and I’d hate for anyone to buy art from me and not receive it in time.
I recently completed Henri, a beautiful collie (pic above). He lived in France until he was 5 and now resides in York, UK. Should I be jealous that a dog has had a more adventurous life than me? Absolutely! Lucky boy. As he’s local to me, I had the pleasure of seeing his owners open this commission in front of me. What a total joy to see their excitement and happiness! They loved my art and it was so nice to see that reaction. I get so many lovely written messages of thanks from my clients but it really is quite overwhelming in person!
Anyway, I wish anyone reading my blog a very happy (and SAFE) Christmas. Let’s all hope for a much healthier (go away covid) 2021! Thank-you for any and all support of my little business; it has just about survived this year and I’m hoping it will get back to thriving in the future.
